About Learning Enhancement Program

Montessori methods cater to the overall personality development of a child. At Fantasy Land, the mainstream classes Sunflowers and Blue Oceans cater to children between the age group 1-5 years. While helping each child to achieve his/her potential, special needs children are also regularly integrated into these classrooms whenever possible and advised.

‘Happy Days’ at Fantasy Land is a class for children with special needs such as Autism, Attention Deficit Disorder and other Developmental Disabilities (Speech Delay, Slow Learners, Downs Syndrome). Each child at Happy Days has an individualized educational program using Montessori materials, which enhance their learning and understanding.

As yet there is no cure for any of these conditions but Specialized Education and Structured Support can help maximize a child’s skills and minimize any behavior problems. The right kind of educational programs are essential. They make a real difference to a child’s life, enabling each individual, whatever their level of disability to achieve as great a degree of independence as possible.

Children with developmental disabilities need an integrated program focusing on language and communication, occupational therapeutic inputs, and an individualized academic program.

They also need opportunities to interact with Normal or neuro-typical peers while playing, learning to read and write and learning self- help skills.

At Fantasy Land all of the above become possible with the integration of Montessori materials in the therapeutic and special educational program of the children. Since the nursery has mainstream, children play and interact with their normal peers in a natural way.

The incorporation of the British curriculum and Calvert’s Home Schooling program further facilitate learning, and make the program more meaningful.

P.S. We also run an ‘After school Educational Support’ program from 1:30 p.m. -- 4:30 p.m.

We will be providing facilities such as occupational therapy, speech therapy, and ABA therapy on a daily and monthly basis beginning September 2007.
