Maria Montessori recognized that each child learns at a different pace, and she organized the environment for that growth to take place steadily. Importance is laid on individual learning within the carefully planned environment with a freedom of choice and movement. Our dedicated team of trained, qualified, and experienced teachers is always very sensitive to your child’s needs.
Research has shown that the best predictor of future success is a sense of self esteem. Montessori programs, based on self directed, non competitive activities, help children develop a good self image and the confidence to face challenges and changes with optimism. The Montessori teaching method is divided into five areas which include practical life, sensorial, language, math, and cultural activities.
-
The practical life activities assist children in skills for day to day life and help them gain independence and develop concentration, thus boosting their self-esteem.
-
Sensorial materials provide opportunities for refinement of sensory perception, fine tuning their visual, auditory, touch, taste, and smell.
-
Montessori language program takes the child from basic phonic sounds of alphabets to reading skills.
-
The mathematical material provides a solid base for learning mathematical concepts.
-
Cultural materials give them basic knowledge in the fields of biology, geography, history, and science.
The children learn to appreciate and understand different cultures in this multinational environment. It is a child centered environment - All the materials are within the child's reach, placed on shelves at their levels. The tables and chairs are small enough for the children to sit comfortably and the pictures and decorations are placed at the children's eye level.
A greater focus is placed on the process and methods of learning rather than on the material itself in order to enable children to grasp almost anything quickly. At the same time, all the five senses are refined. .
We have an open door policy with parents. Parent-teacher meetings are arranged at the end of every term.
